If you are thinking of visiting Jerusalem Israel for any reason and planning on staying a while, hotel stay may not be a very cost effective solution. Hotels in the area can be quite expensive and if you plan to stay for an extended stay that could run you a lot of money very quickly. There is however another option for travelers to the area who would like to save the cost of the more expensive hotel stays. They also get the added benefit of more privacy when they sublet Jerusalem apartments.

In most cases, there are several sublet Jerusalem rental options available that you can choose from such as apartments, houses or even rooms. You will literally save thousands over the price of the hotels in Israel. You will also save money on food as your sublet may have a kitchen for you to cook your meals and you may also get a working telephone line so that you are not paying additional monies for using hotel telephones. Jerusalem is a great option for a religious or historical visite or for a student who will be attending classes in the area. Using sublet Jerusalem rental services is a great option for anyone who is staying too long for a hotel and not long enough for a full lease apartment.

If you are planning to take a trip to Jerusalem for an extended amount of time and you would like to save money on the price of hotel fees and food, the best bet would be to take a sublet Jerusalem rental so that you are able to pay one set monthly fee which is much lower than hotels, and be able to make your food on a stove which will save you even more money because you dont have to eat out.

Jersey City cheap hotels: How to Find Them On Priceline

May 31st, 2009

One of the best ways to find Jersey City cheap hotels is by using Priceline’s Name Your Own Price Service. When hotels have unsold rooms they use Priceline and Hotwire to fill them, which connects these hotels to bargain shopping shopping customers who do not mind not knowing which hotel they’ll be staying in. For 2008 Priceline came second only to Hotwire in terms of customer service according to J.D. Power and Associates. Generally you’ll get a higher price on Hotwire but with the added benefit of knowing the amenities of your hotel as well and being 100% sure that your hotel room will have adequate space, as Hotwire allows you to specify how many people there will be for your stay. There is a very slight chance that when you use Priceline, you’ll get a hotel room with one bed when you need a room for 3 people. Regardless, Priceline is the place to go to if you want a cheap hotel.

To access Priceline’s “Name Your Own Price Service” simply go to Priceline.com and bid for hotels for the Jersey City area. Once you enter your criteria Priceline will give you 7 zones:

Elizabeth
Jersey City
Meadowlands – Rutherford
Newark – Newark Airport (EWR)
Secaucus – North Bergen
Short Hills – Summit
West Orange

If you click and then unclick on each zone you can find out the maximum star level available within each zone.

Elizabeth: 3-Star Upscale
Jersey City: 4-Star Deluxe
Meadowlands – Rutherford: 31?2-Star Upscale-Plus
Newark – Newark Airport (EWR): 31?2-Star Upscale-Plus
Secaucus – North Bergen: 31?2-Star Upscale-Plus
Short Hills – Summit: 31?2-Star Upscale-Plus
West Orange: 21?2-Star Moderate-Plus

(you’ll know why I do this a little further in the article)

Where to start your bid

Check out betterbidding.com and biddingfortravel.com. Both sites allow users to post their winning bids on Priceline. You can get a good idea of where you should start your bid from these sites.

Priceline Rebidding Basics

Priceline allows to rebid if you change something in your criteria. You can change you dates, your destination city, or your minimum/chosen star level. I can bet that you do not want to change any of these. However, Priceline also allows you to bid again if you change your zone criteria. Does this mean that you have to completely change your zone in order to bid again? No. You can use “dummy zones” to rebid. Say you want to stay in a 31?2-Star Upscale-Plus hotel in the Short Hills zone. That means that you have 31?2-Star Upscale-Plus as your chosen (minimum) star level and Short Hills as your 1 checkmarked zone. You bid using these criteria and your bid fails. You can rebid immediatley if you change your zone criteria. How? Simply add a zone whose maximum star level is lower than the star level you are bidding on. This means you can bid again if you add West Orange to your zone criteria, for a total of 2 zones (just make sure to bid using 31?2-Star Upscale-Plus as your chosen star level). If that second bid fails you can bid again using another “dummy” zone whose maximum star level is lower than the one you are bidding on. For your third bid, start a new bid by clicking the Priceline logo at the rejection screen (you have to start a new bid because the rejection screen won’t allow you to uncheck the West Orange zone). This time, select Short Hills and Elizabeth as your 2 zones. Also make sure to select 31?2-Star Upscale-Plus as your chosen star level. You can now bid again for the Short Hills zone.

More complex bidding

In the Priceline rebidding section I’ve given you 95% of what you need to know to rebid using Priceline. However, there are many more ways you can rebid for the Jersey City area under each of the zones. You can find out how by clicking the link in the author bio.

Louisville Cheap Hotels: How to Find Them On Priceline

May 31st, 2009

Priceline’s “Name Your Own Price” service is one of the best ways to find Louisville cheap hotels. When hotels have unsold rooms they use Priceline and Hotwire to fill these unsold rooms at discounted prices. Both sites connect bargain shopping consumers, who do not mind not knowing which hotel they’ll be staying in, with hotels looking to fill unsold space. Which service is better? Generally, Hotwire will give you slightly higher prices. However, you pay a little more for the added benefit of knowing what amenities your hotel will have as well as being 100% sure that your hotel room will have the appropriate number of beds (Hotwire gives you the amenity information. It also lets you specify how many people there will be in your party.) Regardless, Priceline is known as the place to find hotel deals. Furthermore, you can use a rebidding strategy which allows you to get many immediate rebids. If you do not know how to rebid, you’ll be forced to bid high immediately. So, how do you rebid?

Before I tell you how to rebid, you should know where to start your bid. Check out betterbidding.com and biddingfortravel.com. Both sites let users post their winning bids. You can use the posted winning bids to give you an idea of where to start bidding. For example, I noticed that a lot of recent winning bids for 3 and 1/2 star hotels in the Louisville downtown zone ranged from $50-$75.

How to rebid: The Basics

Priceline will give you 6 zones from which to select for the Louisville area. They are…

Brooks – Shepherdsville: 2-Star Moderate
Louisville Airport Area (SDF): 3-Star Upscale
Louisville Downtown: 4-Star Deluxe
Louisville East: 3-Star Upscale
Louisville North: 3-Star Upscale
Louisville Southwest: 2 1/2-Star Moderate-Plus

You’ll notice that along side each zone I’ve listed the maximum amount of stars available within that zone (I did this by clicking and unclicking on the zone)

Say you want to stay in the Louisville East zone with 3-Star Upscale as your chosen zone. Your first bid is rejected. You can add another zone, in addition to the Louisville East zone zone as long as its maximum available star level is lower than the star level you are bidding on. So, for your second bid, you can have 2 zones, your Louisville East zone and and a “dummy zone”. Your next bid can be for Louisville East and for Louisville Southwest. Because Louisville Southwest has a maximum star level (2 1/2-Star Moderate-Plus) lower than the star level you are bidding on, you know you won’t end up staying in the Southwest zone. You’ve used Louisville Southwest as your “dummy” zone too rebid! This is 95% of how to rebid on Priceline. There are many combinations of zones you can use to rebid for each zone. If you are interested, you can check out the link in the author bio.

Using Priceline, the aforementioned rebidding strategy, and betterbidding.com, as well as biddingfortravel.com, will definitely net you some Louisville cheap hotels.
